Milan Kundera

Dear Prof. Tomas Kubicek, It was very nice to meet you in your library (www.mzk.cz) in Brno, Czech Republic on August 31, 2022. It was very interesting to listen to you to introduce Mr. Milan Kundera, a world-famous Czeck born philosopher writer. Actually, one of my classmates who live in Canada, and another young Chinese lady who currentl live in China, have read “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”, and my wife also watched the movie directed by Philip Kaufman. They commented it was because of similar history with China, the vogue and foggy expectation, and the love story, respectively. I think the background of Mr. Milan Kundera’s novel was clear for all three commentators, but their own life experience very much geographically different. Probably Milan Kundera has been good luck (maybe wrong expression) because I found that his work was recognized quite early, for instance, he got Jerusalem Prize for Literature in 1985 already. Of course, that is because his work brought many new

Verbascoside inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of oral squamous cell carcinoma by the METTL3-mediated miR-31-5p/HIPK2 axis Fluorescence images of anti-BrdU assay of cell division and proliferation after compound treatment.   transwell

Czech Writer Gets Jerusalem Literary Prize | AP News Czech Writer Gets Jerusalem Literary Prize May 10, 1985 JERUSALEM (AP) _ Exiled Czechoslovakian novelist Milan Kundera, whose books were banned in his homeland, has been awarded the Jerusalem Prize for the Freedom of Man in Society by Mayor Teddy Kollek. The $5,000 prize was presented to Kundera on Wednesday night in conjunction with Israel’s annual book fair. The three-member judging panel said Kundera had ″given expression to the struggle of the individual for his freedom and uniqueness against the forces of history, regime and politics.″ Kundera, 56, has been living in Paris and lecturing at French universities since 1975. The Czechoslovakian government abrogated his citizenship in 1979. He was expelled from the Communist Party in 1969 for what the authorities called ″ideological deviations″ and his books were banned. The panel said Kundera’s ″exile and his neutrality from defined political identification enable him to observe b
